Tell us a bit about yourself. What is your name, work experience and background and position at Pryme?
My name is Melissa Dillon. I am Inside Sales Representative at Pryme. I have over 25 years of experience in Customer Service and Sales. Of these years, 9 of them have been with Pryme. I maintain our customer’s enquiries, and processing of orders in a prompt matter and ensure we uphold our distinguished customer service experience with every interaction.
What do you like about working at Pryme?
Pryme demonstrates exactly what a good employer is. Appreciation never goes astray. We all work together and support each other to better ourselves, our customer experience, and our processes.
Favourite part of the job?
Where do I start? There are a lot of ‘favourites’ or ‘highlights’ I could mention about this job. However, I think my favourite part of the job is being able to provide a solution for almost all our customer’s concerns or needs. Pryme offers a great training incentive to ensure we are staying on top of our product knowledge and therefore being able to ‘think quickly’ when liaising with our customers.
What is some wisdom that you live by?
Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes progress. Our minds don’t stop learning, so, you should always keep your mind open to learning and growth.
What is the one thing that sites need to adopt to make sure that their workers are safe?
There is no limit to safety. A safe work environment is a happy work environment. Safety measures/protocols are put in place to protect all workers so they can go home to their families every day. This is why I love what I do.
What is your favourite Ergodyne product and why?
My favourite Ergodyne Product is the Chill-its 6603 Evaporative Cooling Band. They can be used not only for the worksite but in day-to-day life. They are lightweight, durable and non-invasive.
There are multiple ways to drink Sqwincher, what is your favourite?
My favourite way to consume Sqwincher is with the Sqwincher Sqweeze Zero. They are a quick and easy way to cool down. I also don’t have to feel guilty having a Sqweeze Zero because they contain zero sugar.
What is the one product that you use the most to stay safe?
Sqwincher Ice blocks – From personal experience and doing home renovations, my partner and I have been doing various amounts of labour. Whilst we are being sun safe, it still doesn’t prevent us from getting dehydrated. So, I always make sure I have a pack in the freezer and encourage us both to consume them. They are even a safe and great-tasting treat for the grandkids on a hot summer’s day.
What message do you have for people working on a site that they need to hear?
Safety isn’t a joke. Safety isn’t just showing up to work in the right PPE. Safety is maintaining your hydration. Safety is ensuring you are still wearing sunscreen even if you’re wearing Sun-safe clothes. Safety is ensuring that your co-worker is being safe next to you. We choose to be safe to protect ourselves and the ones around us. Stay safe, stay hydrated, and stay healthy.
