Tell us a bit about yourself. What is your name, work experience background and position at Pryme?
My name is Caitlin, I have been involved in the safety industry in various roles for over 13 years. I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to work within the Pryme team as a Business Development Manager. I support major distributors and educate end users on the importance of heat stress management and how our products can complement their safe work practices.
What do you like about working at Pryme?
The people, we are all like-minded motivated individuals working together to accomplish our business goals.
What sets our products and approach apart?
We can review the customers’ requirements and deliver an end-to-end solution for all heat stress management.
What is your favourite part of the job?
Travelling across Australia and working with a variety of industries to help provide innovative solutions.
What is some wisdom that you live by?
Safety is everyone’s responsibility! By speaking up and having a safety-conscious mindset we can ensure everyone makes it home safely.
What is the one thing that sites need to adopt to ensure their workers are safe?
Preventative measures are far more effective than reactive ones.
What is your favourite Ergodyne product and why?
My favourite Ergodyne product is the 6602 Evaporative Cooling Towel. Its evaporative cooling technology is fast, effective, and easy to use. Due to the products size, it is versatile and is an inexpensive solution that can be used repeatedly.
There are multiple ways to drink Sqwincher, what is your favourite?
I am obsessed with the new Watermelon Qwik Stik and that is exclusively the only flavour I drink now.
What is the one product that you use the most to stay safe?
Protecting myself and my two children against the long-term effects of excess exposure to the sun is paramount. That is why I use the Maxiblock range of sunscreen products every day, they are dermatologically tested and are safe and gentle on all skin types.
What message do you have for people working on a site that they need to hear?
Workplace injuries are preventable! Safety is everyone’s responsibility and taking extra time to complete a task safely is more important than getting the job done quickly. Safety products have come a long way in the last decade and are there to reduce/mitigate the risk of injuries to YOU and ensure everyone can go home safely.
