Tell us a bit about yourself. What is your name, work experience, and background and position at Pryme?
Brad Houlihan, Pryme’s Director of Sales. I started working in the Pryme warehouse unloading containers and packing orders from around 14 years old. After leaving school in 2005 I joined the fitness industry managing and opening gyms. Fitness has always been a passion and part of my life. After a small stint overseas playing rugby, I came back to Australia and sold advertising and foreign currency in Sydney. I’ve been back at Pryme for five years now, and to see Pryme grow from where it was to where it is today still amazes me every day.
What do you like about working at Pryme?
I’d say the first two things that come straight to mind are:
- The people, how we work together towards our own personal and professional goals.
- The daily challenge of growing sales and working closely with our trusted network of customers.
What is your favourite part of the job?
Without a doubt the ability to provide a safer working environment. We’re fortunate to distribute premium quality products which all workforces should have access to.
What is some wisdom that you live by?
If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.
What is the one thing that sites need to adopt to make sure that their workers are safe?
Safety Culture. Culture can’t be led by one person it requires several people to buy in and lead. Safety is the same.
What is your favourite Ergodyne product and why?
That’s a tough one because there are so many of the products I could mention. However, I don’t get to use them. For example, the 3105 Single Carabiner Tool Lanyard, is an absolute must for any worksite. It is efficient, cost-effective and versatile tool lanyard but unfortunately, I’m not the one working at heights. Selfishly, I’d say the 6685 Evaporative Cooling Vest, it gets hot all year round in Australia and that vest is absolute magic.
There are multiple ways to drink Sqwincher. What is your favourite?
Off the beaten track, but I love mixing Sqwincher Liquid Concentrate with sparkling water. Now, I’m hooked on lemon sparkling water mixed with the Orange Concentrate. You’ve got to try it!
What is the one product that you use the most to stay safe?
I use Sqwincher every day while I train or to hydrate but I’m also hauling my gear around with Ergodyne Arsenal Backpacks.
What message do you have for people working on a site that they need to hear?
Everyone has the right to go to work and come home, unfortunately, accidents and tragedies happen — prioritise safety, if not for yourselves but for your loved ones or your mates onsite.
