Today, we have the privilege of sitting down with Matt Edmunds, the dedicated Supply Chain Manager at Pryme. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring seamless product movement, Matty plays a pivotal role in overseeing the journey from sourcing to final delivery.
Tell us a bit about yourself. What is your name and position at Pryme?
My name is Matt. I am the Supply Chain Manager at Pryme. I essentially look after product movement from sourcing right through to final delivery to the customer.
What do you like about working at Pryme?
Most certainly the people. We totally support each other in sharing the common goal of servicing the customer to the highest standard.
Favourite part of the job?
The variety. From a customer engagement to an inbound shipment update, working in supply chain always presents something different each day.
What is some wisdom that you live by?
With any challenge presented, what is my next best move here? It’s a question I continue to ask myself. In a world of external influences, as in supply chain, plenty of external influences can impact you and spoil the best-laid plans. When presented with a problem, I circle back to anything I can control and how can I adjust to get a better outcome.
What is the one thing that sites need to adopt to make sure that their workers are safe?
Accepting that the safety discussion, considerations and assessments are worth it. Everyone going home safely tonight is a foundation principal to build up from.
What is your favourite Ergodyne product and why?
The new ProFlex 450 Knee Pad. The hinge feature at the top is a great addition to an already brilliant gel knee pad. It’s comfortable to wear during work, allows a full range of movement and when you are kneeling on it, the gel is such a nice landing platform for your knee.
There are multiple ways to drink Sqwincher, what is your favourite?
I’m a fan of the Sqwincher Qwik Stik. The format makes it super versatile and easy to have on you to tip straight into a water bottle. A pack of Qwik Stiks in my bag means I can keep across hydration easily all the time.
What is the one product that you use the most to stay safe?
The Ergodyne 6487 Cooling Multi-Band. Keeping the sun directly off me I find most comfortable. Wet the multi-band further allows for a further cooling solution that really helps. Even just in the warehouse, the Cooling Multi-Band really helps cooling without impeding any movement or tasks.
What message do you have for people working on a site that they need to hear.
You play in a workspace far more dangerous than mine, take every precaution possible to ensure you head home tonight safely and in the best condition possible, still hydrated and not fully spent.
