Description
Squids 3700 Web Tool Tether Attachments act as a retrofit attachment point on tools, belts, harnesses or structures that can be used to tether small hand tools up to 0.9kg and prevent dropped or falling objects from occurring on the job.
Built for secure attachment to tools, this anchor attachment is made of heavy-duty nylon webbing and high-tensile strength nylon thread. Both ends feature a reinforced double-stitch web catch for a more durable stop. Once the base of the tail is securely taped to the tool or anchor point, the plated D-ring acts as a captive hole for tethering tool lanyards.
For best use, tape the loop end of the tool tail with Squids 3755 Self-Adhering Tape Trap. Available in three sizes: short, medium and long. When working at-heights, it’s essential to tether your tools. Fall protection lanyards and tethers are pieces of safety equipment designed to attach one end securely to a fixed anchor point, and the other to an appropriate attachment point on a tool by proper tethering.
These tool tether attachments are built to withstand defined weight limits and can easily be used by any worker to help avoid accidentally dropping objects that could cause damage, injuries or possibly death. These attachments are third-party certified and meet the ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 standard with all required labelling. Ideal for those who need to tether tools in industries like construction, telecommunications, oil and gas, power generation, utilities, wind energy, manufacturing or other jobs at heights.

For workers on construction sites, mining, infrastructure and other industrial settings, the threat of falling objects can be a serious hazard. Even a small tool or piece of equipment dropped from a height can cause significant injury or damage, and in some cases, even be fatal. To combat this risk, many worksites in Australia have adopted the concept of a “Drop Free Zone,” where workers are required to take extra precautions to prevent death and injuries caused by falling objects. Find out more about creating a DROP FREE ZONE.
TESTED TO BE TRUSTED – All lanyards are rigorously tested and third-party certified to a 0.9kg maximum capacity with a 2:1 safety factor to prevent falling objects. When working at heights, choosing the best tool tethering equipment matters because there are no second chances.
DROPPED OBJECTS STANDARD 121-2018 – The ISEA/ANSI Dropped Objects Standard provides guidelines to protect workers from hazardous dropped objects. It outlines requirements for personal protective equipment, procedures, and systems to reduce the risk of injury from falling objects.
