National Skin Cancer Action Week
From 21-27 November, we’re celebrating 40 years of Slip, Slop, Slap and reinforcing our commitment to preventing skin cancer. Australia still has one of the highest rates of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers in cancer in the world—with two in three Australians diagnosed every year—and we want to be part of reducing this rate and eliminating the risk to all our outdoor workers.
Skin cancer is one of the most preventable kinds of cancer, but it depends on having the right protection. That’s why Pryme stocks a range of high-quality sun protection products to protect your workers from damaging UV rays when they’re working outside, including sun-protective shelters, hats, and sunscreens. The risk to your workers is highest in the summer months when it only takes ten minutes to burn, however, because you can be burnt even on cloudy days, it’s important to keep good sun protection on hand all year round.
At Pryme, we believe our workers deserve the best products on the market. That’s why we’re proud to stock Australian made Maxiblock sun protection products, which have been delivering premium, fuss-free protection against the harshest Aussie sun for over 40 years. To keep workers safe, not only from the sun but from cancer-causing chemicals, Maxiblock’s sunscreens are all dermatologically tested, free of oxybenzone and octyl methoxycinnamate, and 4 hours water resistant. And because Pryme and Maxiblock are also committed to minimising our impact on the environment, all our sunscreens are reef safe and packaged in recyclable tubes.
You can be part of helping us to promote sun protection this National Skin Cancer Action Week. Show your workers you’re committed to protecting them on the job by providing them with a full range of sun protection products, and feel free to contact our friendly team at Pryme anytime for more information on how to stay safe this summer.
