Description
Squids 3713 Elastic Tool Tether Attachments with Swivel (3-Pack) act as a retrofit attachment point on tools, belts, harnesses or structures that can be used to tether tools up to 4.6kg and prevent dropped or falling objects from occurring on the job. Built for versatile and secure attachment to tools, this anchor attachment features a stretchable nylon loop end plus adjustable barrel lock on one end and a plated 360° swiveling D-ring on the other.
Once the loop end of the tail is secured to the tool or anchor point, the D-ring acts as a captive hole for tethering tool lanyards. By allowing for seamless rotation, the swiveling mechanism prevents the tool and attachment from getting tangled or bound up. For best use, reinforce the loop end of the tool tail with Squids Self-Adhering Tape or Cold Shrink Tool Traps. When working at-heights, it’s essential to tether your tools.
Fall protection lanyards and tethers are pieces of safety equipment designed to attach one end securely to a fixed anchor point, and the other to an appropriate attachment point on a tool by proper tethering. These tool tether attachments are built to withstand defined weight limits and can easily be used by any worker to help avoid accidentally dropping objects that could cause damage, injuries or possibly death. Ideal for those who need to tether tools in industries like construction, mining, oil and gas, or other jobs at heights.

For workers on construction sites, mining, infrastructure and other industrial settings, the threat of falling objects can be a serious hazard. Even a small tool or piece of equipment dropped from a height can cause significant injury or damage, and in some cases, even be fatal. To combat this risk, many worksites in Australia have adopted the concept of a “Drop Free Zone,” where workers are required to take extra precautions to prevent death and injuries caused by falling objects. Find out more about creating a DROP FREE ZONE.
TESTED TO BE TRUSTED – All lanyards are rigorously tested and third-party certified to a 4.6kg maximum capacity with a 2:1 safety factor to prevent falling objects. When working at heights, choosing the best tool tethering equipment matters because there are no second chances.
DROPPED OBJECTS STANDARD 121-2018 – The ISEA/ANSI Dropped Objects Standard provides guidelines to protect workers from hazardous dropped objects. It outlines requirements for personal protective equipment, procedures, and systems to reduce the risk of injury from falling objects.
